Our sunscreens are made using Phifer Suntex® fabric, which is woven of extremely strong and durable vinyl-coated polyester. All of the materials we use (fabric, binding, and thread), will withstand outdoor weather elements and look very nice for many years.
We install our sunscreens on the exterior by using nickel plated brass button snaps. We attach them with aluminum pop-rivets, therefore eliminating any rusting. When we drill holes in the motorhome, we fill the hole, as well as the back of the stud with silicone, before installing the pop-rivet and stud onto the motorhome. We take EVERY precaution to insure against any water leaks.
